At Simplx Security, we understand that safety is important, both in the home as well as out and about in the city. There are many ways that parents can be proactive in keeping their families, homes, and even themselves safe. Here are a few events around the city where you can get involved:
1.) Safety Village and Survive Alive House

The Safety Village is a fun environment for children to learn about safety in an easy-to-understand way. Children are able to travel around the “village” (made up of 30 miniature buildings) learning about different aspects of public safety. The program is put on by the Fort Wayne Police Department, and free activities can be scheduled for both public and private school students.
The Survive Alive House is a program put on by the Fort Wayne Fire Department. The House uses special effects to simulate a fire as children are instructed how to best escape a burning home.

2.) CPR/AED Courses
This course is available for individuals looking to be CPR/AED certified. The course includes training in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use of a automated external defibrillator (AED). This class costs $50 and is held bimonthly.

3.) Child Seat Safety
Parents can choose to have a child’s seat inspected to make sure they are providing their children with adequate safety while riding in an automobile. There are multiple locations and times that these inspections are available, and they are free of charge.
